MY TRIBUTE TO THE WELSH WIZARD(finally!)

iv been meaning to get down to writing this for a long long time now.
this is my tribute to the my favorite footballer of all time..the man who i owe most of my inspirations to.
i doubt it if there is a more decorated footballer in England's club history...i believe there isn't , but that's not what he is bout
its not bout the stats.its not bout the glory and success...it never was...
its bout what e was made off
its almost surreal when u think bout how much he achieved by doing the one thing so many of us are afraid of doing..following your dreams...

RYAN WILSON GIGGS

MANCHESTER UNITED WINGER AND FRONT MAN FROM 1990- PRESENT

Ryan was born to a mother who was just 17 when he came along. so you can only imagine what kind of hardship she must have faced bringing him up.he was born to a father who was a rugby player and of African decent. which added to the racist comments he faced from his childhood in school and on the football pitch. But he only learn't one way off shutting people up...but playing his game and giving defenders nightmares with his wizardry on the field..
that's one quality he has never lost even after over 20yrs of professional football he never really loses his temper on the pitch...never been red-carded on the club scene and once while playin international football...which he does regret very much...
can u imagine what its like to watch the coach of Manchester united SIR ALEX FERGUSON drive upto your home and offer you a contract to come play at the club on a day you just turned 14. ...god surely must have seen something special and as you all know...god(sir Alex) can never be wrong..

But it was no fluke that he was selected at such a tender age
the legend goes such that one day at the theater of dreams there was a practice session going on for children from all over the country who were considered the best all over...
SIR BOBBY CHARLTON, incidentally who's appearance record was broken by ryan two years ago but we will get to that, was walking by watching over 70 kids jus going through their paces over the pitch...this kid caught his eye at the end of the pitch...in the 15 minutes that he was watching, that kid slammed in a hat trick.. immediately he ran into the manager's cabin and said "if u let go of that kid, u will regret it for the rest of your life!!"
the boss was like "who are u talking about "
sir bobby goes "that kid..." and points him out from the crowd
sir alex goes " ryan?? i'm drawing up his contract right now!"
not many players actually debut for man united at 17...not many players pledge their lives to the club...not many players go on to create history the way he did...and he did it with honour, respect and pride...
i cannot think of too many players who have lived such a fulfilling sporting life..much lesser have had an amazing personal life with no trouble whatsoever in handling their relationships and making sure they never lost out on his list of priorities...there is so much i can learn from the man's life... its almost awe-inspiring...
he still lives with his mother...still takes his children to the park...and never misses the Friday night dinner with family...his brother Rhodri is still playing in the non - league but he makes it a point to go watch him play and cheer him on...
i think all our cricketing sports stars can learn a bit of team spirit from him...
there are times when i watch him and wonder at what it might have been if he was never given the opportunity to play or something to that effect...truth is he was born to do this..
to be able to take on defenders 10 maybe 15 yrs younger and just cut past them like he did when he was 22...and he is 37...looks 37...acts 37....
but still the mr.dependable all of us united fans have known over the years!!
here is to the man...the legend...and now i think i would like to throw in some stats jus the gloat :P
HIGHEST NUMBER OF APPEARANCES FOR THE CLUB AT OVER 800 MATCHES AND COUNTING
he broke this record when he went past non other then Sir. Bobby charlton on that historic champions league final win over Chelsea at Moscow.talk about having the stage set!!

HIGHEST NUMBER OF ASSISTS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE-
his foremost job in a united shirt as a winger was crossing the ball..and my god has there been anyone better!! not even Beckham could be able to compete for that on that one!!

MOST DECORATED FOOTBALLER IN ENGLISH CLUB HISTORY-
not many players can boast of that kind of glory the way ryan has had over these 2o odd yrs...and not one in English club football...which is saying something if you think about the toughest league to compete in is the English premier league...
11 premier league medals
7 F.A. cup medals
2 Champion's league medals
and god knows how many personal awards
recently named b.b.c. sports personality of the year....only the 3rd footballer to get there...

SCORER IN EVERY PREMIER LEAGUE
right from the start of the league in 1991 he has scored in every single league to be the only player to do so...imagine the fact that the players he played with back then are aging managers of other clubs...and his own colleagues are battling to stay fit and getting any time to play...

looks like time decided to stand still for him to complete these records and still remain the boy genius who walked on as a sub to play Everton all those years ago!!

players will come and go...seasons will change and the victorious will always be on the move....
but the welsh wizard from Cardiff will always be the man who made football my life!!!

THE BALL IS WIPED OUT TO THE LEFT BY SCHOLES AND IT BROUGHT DOWN BY THE SLIGHTEST OF TOUCHES BY GIGGS!!CUTS INTO THE AREA BY FEIGNING TO THE RIGHT..LEFT THE DEFENDERS SCRAMBLING AS HE GOES PAST ONE...TWO....THREE...SHOTS GOOD!!ITS IN!!!MY GOD THE BOY'S A GENIUS!!!!

will always remember moments of him skipping past half the defence of arsenal in the FA cup semi replay...the ball lost in midfield near the half line by Viera...picked by Giggs and that run....oh the whole crowd was on its feet to watch his burst through the defence like nothing is in front of him and slam it home from close range over Seaman's head!!and the wild celebrations that followed!!!

this is my tribute...my ode if u would like to call it...but then the rhyming scheme would be completely off :P
but this is for you Sir. Ryan Giggs!!!
the knight in shining Armour who served his club faithfully and loyally!!
RESPECT!
